Jimmy Dale Moore, age 80, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was born June 4, 1932 in Benton, Arkansas. Jimmy Dale was a deacon, song director, Bible teacher, part-time pianist and a member for 55 years at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He was the manager of the ESSO Bulk Plant for 20 years and later retired as the owner of the Bryant EXXON after 12 ½ years. Jimmy Dale served as President of the Master Gardeners for 2 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Addie Moore; sister, Rutheda Wright and two brothers, John Lewallen Moore and Charles Comer Moore.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean Moore of Benton; five children, Debby Shelton (James) of Benton, Joe David Moore (Deborah) of Cabot, Jay Kelley Moore (Beth) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Vic Moore (Katherine) of Benton and Shelly Benham (Kevin) of Benton; sister, Pat Sims (Bill) of Benton; twelve grandchildren, Justin Shelton (Brandy), Holly Vaughn (Tony), Jessica Miller (Jaran), Sarah Warford (Jordan), Paige Shelton, Jacob Moore (Heather), Travis Moore (Courtney), Natalie Moore, Jon Moore, Abby Moore, Megan Benham and Aaron Benham and five great-grandchildren, Jackson Shelton, Taylor Shelton, Kyleigh Vaughn, Jalynn Miller and Eric Moore.

Pallbearers will be Joe David Moore, Jay Moore, Vic Moore, Jon Moore, Jacob Moore, Capt. John Travis Moore, Justin Shelton and James Shelton.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 13 at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to CARTI or Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
